Introduction to Living ImPerfectWelcome to your Living ImPefect Workshop, a course designed to simply your life so that you can Be Happy, Be Present, Be Clear and Take Action!
Here's what to expect... At the end of each lesson you'll get a link to the next one. Easy right? Up top you'll see an audio or video with your weekly lesson - there may be a series of shorter videos or audio so that you can eat it in pieces if you're crunched for time. Any worksheets or downloads will also be up top under the audio/video. If you'd prefer to read the lesson instead the transcription is available at the end of the page - usually it will be in PDF format but this segment is short so it's just on the page itself. Easy right? Will there be homework? Absolutely - and that will be spelled out for you as well see over on the right? Questions? Comments and Homework - you have email access to me any time because for the next 4 weeks I am your personal coach. My direct email is [email protected] So - go listen to the intro or check out the transcription if you prefer and I'll 'see' you in the first segment... "Be Happy" Thanks! -Stacy |
HOMEWORKSeriously? There's no homework for this section... it's an Introduction!
BUT if you're really an over-achiever your homework is: Commit to carving out some time for this course - and I don't mean to fit it in, I mean put it on your schedule, right now, even if it's 15 minutes a day. |

“They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they would make up their minds.” – Winston Churchill
Welcome everyone to Living ImPerfect. My name is Stacy Nelson for those who don’t know me. I am a Certified Life Coach and a self professed Spoiled Only Child. As such I’ll tell you right now that I created this program for myself. I really have been a self help junkie my whole life and in fact I was raised to search and question. Both my mother and grandmother were avid learners – I remember my Grandmother learning reflexology and crystal healing and she was a great Numerologist. My mother studies Feng Shui and past life regressions and is always listening to new lessons and reading new books. I mean I was raised going to psychic fairs and things like that and I carried on that never ending quest for answers, getting in touch with myself, releasing my shadows, forgiving people, forgiving myself. You name it in the self help world and I read the book. I still do.
And I have to tell you that most of what I learned was just pure crap in that I could work on myself nine days from Sunday and still be reliving the same life in a different costume. And I got tired of it. And at one point I put my foot down and decided to not work on myself but to basically accept that I am one messed up little cookie and that was AWESOME! The point wasn’t to make myself a perfect little Mary Poppins. The point was to be who I am, to let ME SHINE and stop taking myself so damn seriously. The pressure we put on ourselves each and every day to be something more or to live up to our expectations is ri-don-culous.
So here we are today at the start of Living ImPerfect. You’ll be learning from my lifetime of trial and error after error after error. How many of you tend to over-complicate just about everything? And by this I mean we go to the grocery store and we have categorized lists by aisle and we still leave with things that weren’t on the list, backtracking in the store to go back to aisle 3 to get something you need and get home to find you forgot 2 other critical items?
I don’t like complicated – it’s too hard to remember so everything you’ll be learning in this course is totally basic and do-able. It’s about paring things down to the point that it just happens. You’ll be getting sure-fire ways of simplifying the things that go on in our heads.
We’re going to be getting you to a place where you are happy, fully present, clear and taking action in your own lives to get everything you ever wanted.
Those are some pretty big goals but the tools we’re going to be learning are seriously so simple you’re going to be amazed. We’re going to be taking away all of the fluff and extra nonsense that goes on in our brains and hold us back from living a life filled with champagne wishes and caviar dreams.
And it starts with letting go of the idea that if we can be Perfect, life will be Perfect. If somehow we’re better, faster, smarter, thinner, richer then we’ll feel fulfilled. Because I’m going to guess that most of you are listening today because you feel like there’s something MISSING, that somehow you know there is MORE to life and you can’t quite put your finger on it.
Just for today I want you to set your intentions on finding that missing ingredient that keeps you where you are. Stay open minded and trust that we’re in a safe place and it’s okay to let your guard down a little. It’s like Vegas in this room baby – what happens here stays here.
At the end of the course you’ll be leaving with a clear picture of who you are, what you want and most importantly you’ll know how to get it and will be inspired to make it happen. You’re going to have the tools you need to sustain new levels of happiness and calm.
The whole course works together as one cohesive whole but it’s broken down into 4 distinct sections. The first two build your foundation and the second two are the structure, your actual building so to speak.
The first is ‘Be Happy’. This is like a free pass to your own personal party zone. It’s not a “smiling all the time happy” we’re going for, it’s a my tank is full and I’m ready for a road trip happy. It’s a feeling of being more fulfilled and satisfied.
The second is ‘Be Present’. This is like secret sauce that gets you out of the “working on yourself” cycle to give instantaneous transformation. It is the best tool ever to step out of overwhelm and over doing and just plain wondering what the heck you’re doing and into a mindset that is present and ready to rock.
The third section is ‘Be Clear’. Knowing who you are and what you want is the cornerstone of your life. Right? You don’t get what you want if you don’t know what you want. And a lot of that isn’t just about the goals but knowing what your personal priorities are and then taking some litmus tests.
And then finally we’re going to be ‘Taking Action’. Screw the inner voice that taunts us, screw waiting for the stars to align before we do X-Y-Z – we’re moving forward with inspired, imperfect actions and we’ll be rocking our worlds. Taking leaps of faith one step at a time.
Yes I want you to end the course inspired. But more importantly I want you to realize that you’re already in a great place – as imperfect and messy as life is. You’ve already got all of the answers inside of you, and that if you incorporate these tricks into your life you’ll feel empowered enough to actually listen to yourself and take control of your path.
So you ready? Ready? Really Ready? Okay - Let’s step into Being Happy!
