I know I'm somewhat psychic but...

My street is rather difficult to get out of. Down a couple of dirt roads there is a main street that we must either cross or turn on to. The speed limit is 55mph and both the left and right are slightly blind curves so the cars appear quickly and there is no stop sign.

In other words, there are very short windows of opportunity in which to get out into the world safely.

It is not uncommon therefore for the window to pass because I am sitting there waiting for a car to wiz by when in fact they are turning right...with no signal...and I'm stuck waiting, not sure of their intentions. Then I get to wait another 5 minutes or so for the next window to come free.

I know I'm somewhat psychic, but if they don't put on their turn signal, I'm not willing to risk my life or the life of my family by assuming what their intentions are.

Flip the goddamned turn signal!!!!

Let's spin that a bit. Because informing others what your intention is while they are waiting on you seems like a basic thing right? I mean people are somewhat psychic but if you're NOT writing the post, the book, the email, if you're NOT telling others about what you're offering or what your message is... then they are stuck on that street silently cursing you because they could have been well on their way to their next destination already if you'd just had the courtesy of letting them know you could help.

Flip your switch.
Look around.
There is one person sitting there waiting to know what you want to say.

if you don't tell me, I'm not going to assume.
